Hi
Does anyone know how much storage is remaining on the iPhone when you buy it new. for example if i buy an 8GB iPhone how much space is actually left for storing music photos etc.  Thanks

This is not correct. When you plug in a brand new iPhone 3G with 8GB of memory there is NOT 8GB available. A couple hundred MBs is taken up with system files, otherwise the rest of the memory is yours.

It's about 7.1GB available on my 8GB 3G so I would say about the same.
