hi there,
i recently purchased a sanyoo 7400 and a data cable off trademe so that i could upload my own ringtones and games and stuff onto the phone so i didnt have to pay the high charges to download them but am having a lil trouble getting it to work correctly. i have read a forum from phatbloke which said that he was able to upload a few ringtones into the pcsync area of the phone and also provided a way of getting them into the download area. i have managed to to get them into the download area using the method he gave in his forum but i was wondering how to get them into the pcsync area? when i go to "get phone data" it dosnt download my ringtones and also when i go to "send phone data" it dosnt send them. it seems to be working fine for my address book and wallpapers, they both download and upload without any trouble its just the ringtones. also ive had a look around and havnt found a way of uploading games yet, any advice on that. any help is much apreciated!!
cheers
ronald

As you are trying to write info into the NVRAM of the phone , you are limted to PIC and Ringers, trying to write to the Java error has never been done and i would say it can not be. The best program to get the most out of PC sync is Bitpim
