I have a SE T610.

On this device I can't use WAP and J2ME (network access) at the same time without having to reconfigure the data settings to change profiles.
One uses a WAP gateway url and the other is using an Internet gateway url.

Does anyone know if the 'newer' Sony Ericson mobiles have profiles linked to the service?
i.e. WAP linked to it's gateway and J2ME(JAVA) linked to it's gateway.
I keep forgetting to flip between the two and then think the network is down. Doh!

This'll probably be even more important with Macromedia lite on most of the Sony Ericsson G3 mobiles as it has no reason to use a WAP gateway either.
I'd hate to think I have to flip between three services in the future.

Any ideas?

I can confirm that my SE P910 doesn't do that.

On that platform, by default when an app asks to connect to the 'net. It will prompt you for what account it should use or should it use the perferred (default account that you select).

Although I have seen java apps go out and work successfully on the WAP profile.

You can do it on CDMA. WAP and J2ME both travel through the MAG (Mobile Access Gateway) on the same login/password.
