He's probably talking about Matt Freeman's Telecommunications Review magazine... Used to be on newsstands, now only available with subscription.

hi you would be right!!

They featured the phone a few months ago. I don;t particularly like the review because it seems to be a slightly anti Telecom affair.

I have actually found it to be a very well balanced publication in terms of reporting and opinion on the major telcos.

fair call, i just guess Vodafone shouts about it's achievements more than Telecom or others do. Although Telecom is known for it's pathetic self marketing.

I do read it cover to cover as well and there is some good stuff their but there is a bit smoke blowing up rear ends and i feel and obviously thats my opinion that Telecom gets served alot more than others. Not saying they don't always deserve that though.

id like to see a publication that deals more excusively with the mobile industry (including phones, personal data devices, PDAs, Woosh type stuff etc etc)

a "mymobile" for in-the-industry people (but way better, becuase MyMobile sux the large kumara)

Does anyone know of such a publication? (A printed one - I need something glossy to read on the couch when im bored, cant look at LCD screens ALL day!!)

That would be good

Highlighting NZ or even Asia Pacific handsets and technologies would be handy.

I guess there isn't yet the market for this but in saying that mymobile is at all of the news stands and sells.

Mobile phones are very close to peoples hearts these days, MyMobile could have put out -anything- out with mobiles in it and it would still have been just as successful.

from geeks to kids to grannies and lawyers and teachers blah blah, everyone has both a mobile, and an opinion on mobiles.

Thanks ...

Really, to get bigger I need some more New Zealand traffic. Well, overseas wouldn't be bad either.

For a magazine, try iStart. They are now publishing a two side magazine (one side upside down, 50% of the magazine), covering business (50%) and mobile (50%). They even published a few Geekzone reviews before (same editorial as mymobile).
