Thanks for all the replies. Its going to cost me 20quid a phone to unlock it thru the UK- thought there may be an easier way around it... Ive def been told it can be done- just unsure how.

Would a company in NZ that specialises in unlocking phones be able to sort. I got a quote this avo for $50 a phone, is this true or will i have to go through VF UK?

Move to New Zealand's best fibre broadband service (affiliate link). Free setup code: R587125ERQ6VE. Note that to use Quic Broadband you must be comfortable with configuring your own router.

These chaps say they can unlock the Vodafone 527 for $14.99 (assuming it's US dollars) and Vodafone UK is an option to get it unlocked. http://www.unlockallcellular.com/vodafone-unlock-code-p-1549.html

These guys look legit. They say - All our Unlock CODES are 100% genuine and guaranteed, if for any reason your unlock codes are not found in our database then we will issue a full refund.

Let us know how that goes.
