Hi all,

Hoping someone could shed some light on this. I have a Nokia N97 and for some reason, the photos I took recently couldn't be found anywhere. It had always worked fine in the past.

One change I could think of was when I downloaded and installed that Augmented Reality software for the N97. I'm not sure if it would have something to do with it.

So what happens is that I take a picture, then go to Menu -> Photos -> Captured, but the picture I just took wasn't there. I did this several times more and none of them were in this Captured folder...

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance :)

Hmmm, I haven't had such a problem before.

Make sure to check your memory card if you have one and even the phone memory.

How are you doing anyway? Enjoying aussie?

Anyways, how do I check the phone memory? I don't have an external memory card on the phone.

I have had the exact same issue with my 5800...

Nobody in Cyberspace can explain why this happens - all anyone ever says is do a backup and format the memory card.

I do this and it's fine for a short time but then I get the intermittent didsappearing photos thing happening again. Bloody annoying.

Hi Dan, did you install the augemented reality software on your phone?

For me, it had always worked fine until recently and the only change I could remember was that installation. I haven't tried to uninstall it though... maybe I should and see if it still works...

Nope. Never downloaded or installed any such program/application.

There's absolutely no common denominator as far as I can tell.

I had the same problem on my 5800. It seems to be that photos stored on the memory card were 'disappearing' (although in fact they were still there if I looked via a card reader). In my case when they disappeared it would only show me the photos stored on the phone memory.

I can get a temporary fix by taking another photo (my storage is set to the memory card by default), and then the photos on the memory card 'reappear'. However they disappear again when I reset the phone.
