A possible insight into what we may expect in NZ with the Vodafone NZ launch of a similar network set for any date from now up until Nov 05

Handsets
Exclusive to Vodafone, the Vodafone live! Motorola V1050 is chic, compact and highly functional with an 8x
digital zoom, LED light, media player and 256MB of removable memory.
The Vodafone live! Sony Ericsson v800i delivers the ultimate combination of form and function. Exclusive in
colour and design, it’s an elegant clamshell phone with a 1.3 mega-pixel in-built camera and Motion Eye
rotating lens.
High-tech yet easy-to-use, the Vodafone live! Nokia 6680 is available in bronze or silver and features an LED
flash and RealPlayer Media Player, enabling download and playback of audio and video files.
At just 95 grams, the Vodafone live! Samsung Z500v is the smallest of the Vodafone live! range but is big on
features including a 1 mega-pixel camera, MP3 player, video calling and Bluetooth ability.

Services
Music on Demand
With instant access to more than 500,000 full music tracks from international and local artists available to download
and listen to, mobile handsets will become the single most important device for music fans on the move. In addition
to download tracks, the music channel will feature favourite artist wallpapers, ringtones and reviews.
TV and Video
Vodafone live! with 3G will allow customers to catch up on popular television programs - either downloaded or
streamed straight to the handset. Catering to virtually any interest, Vodafone live! will revolutionise mobile
entertainment. This will be delivered through partnerships with leading media brands, often delivering content
exclusive to Vodafone.
Latest news and sport
Vodafone live! customers can choose to receive international, local and financial news video bulletins, including
up-to-the-minute sports scores and video clips showing the latest action.
Video calling – across the globe
Vodafone’s global network will enable users to make international video calls. The service will bring families and
friends closer in contact with the added feature of vision – a far more intimate, interactive and personal way to
maintain relationships.
Game on
Gamers using Vodafone live! will also benefit from the 3G network’s increased ability to accommodate larger
downloads and better handset technology. Gamers will experience quicker downloads and enriched 3D
experiences – due to Vodafone’s global relationships with games developers, customers can expect the best
games available anywhere.

As it is a straight copy and paste mind the PR BS.

Personally I expect more handsets @ the NZ launch, a sharp offering probably the 902 and a SE V600 along with a few more Nokias.
Services, well they come from greater available data speeds hence streaming and better access to downloadable content not sure what will take off.
