Hi everyone

Can anyone tell me how to unbrand my sony ericsson k700i, it's currently Vodaphone branded although I am using another network. I want to be able to use mp3's as ringtones.

go check out www.esato.com and search the forums you will find plenty of topics
unbranding voids your warranty
people sell credits for use with products like setool (www.setool.net?) and davinci (cant remember the addy off hand) depending on your level of experience I would only recommend doing it yourself if you are completely competent otherwise I would say just pay for it.

Alternatively SE has a DRM tool enabling mp3 tones but it is no longer available on their website a bit of fishing around and you can find it online.

Thanks for your reply. I managed to find the drm packager and have used it successfully, although I know of other people with vodaphone phones that have had trouble all I can suggest is get your phone unlocked.

See "muppet" here on Geekzone and PM him. He can usually debrand these for a small fee ($30-$40)
