hi folks!

ive managed to create a few of my own qcp truetones and theyre not bad. thing is i didnt realise that downloading them to my phone ate into my credit! i read on a previous post that once you go outside the telecom site on wap its expensive , so ive now bought myself a data cable and can now just send them straight to the phone :-)

are there any sites though where you can download already made qcp truetones ? searched high and low and cant find any at all , well there are a few but theyre all pay to download sites . saves having to make them.

any help appreciated!

:-)

Not that i'm aware of, Watch this space. I'll sometime be launching a site with piles on at www.3gdl.com, At present this access nothing but a 5 year old experiement. It will eventually be a pay site sadly but will support various phones and formats.

Telecom have kept their WAP prices at a ridiculously high $50 a meg and restricted the phones to the "sprint" GCD standard simply to discourage the abundant free sites from working.
The phones which DO work on the free sites is are the samsungs (most of them support SMAF, MIDI)

Multiply the KB size of the tone by 5 for the cost.

If you want some "Truetones" I can send you some that I can make in a jiffy (piles of pre cut media) and upload to the standard sites, note, it'll cost ya in data charges.

:-)

Howsits Paradoxsm!

well ive bought the data cable and also installed the latest bitpm. i added a ringtone in bitpm (qcp format) and then go send data to phone. and go send and i can see at the bottom of bitpm that its sending then when done it says "ready" but the phone seems to just stay on this screen without changing "pc connected, calls and messages etc not available" and push end to end pc sync.. so even though bitpm says ready, my phone sanyo 8200 doesnt actually change. ive nosied everywhere in the phone and cant seem to find my downloaded ringtone

any ideas!

Sadly I have no experiance with data cables for the sanyo's as you cannot use them as modems for laptops so will never buy a cable. My phone is a cheap non-photo Sanyo 4920. which is used for Push to talk and OTA content testing only.

My knowledge is this..
You can store 5 ringtones
they are located in
"tools/Extra'"
"PC Synch"
and listed under there.

mine just says "no ringers downloaded from PC"
