..simple answer to my simple problem please...each name in my phonebook is followed by the word "OTH"...can anyone tell me why and how to get rid ...Thanks!

did you import your entries?
my guess is your contacts came from your address book and the numbers may have been in the 'other' field
I would expect if it was in the mobile field it would say mob.

you could spend some time organising your contacts, are they stored on the phone or sim

..thanks for the prompt reply snicolle...I loaded the details from sim card...don't really want to insert them again one by one.

i did that my self when u import your sim its weird i got all my entries duplicated

Thanks everyone...I have now deleted all the "OTH" addresses and now everything is fine...as mentioned, importing from sim may have caused the weird problem!
