Anyone know a place in Auckland CBD to unlock a phone and the price?
Need to unlock a Sidekick 3 from T Mobile

Beware of using Sidekick phones here - you will only get voice calls and SMS. Everything else relies on an intermediate server, which currently only works with the mobile operators in the US.

It means no Internet, email, etc...

Its a new phone, my bro bought it off trademe and I was helping him out getting it set up.
Freitasm - Realised a couple of days ago that it will only be good for sms & voice so hopefully my bro knows this but since he only likes to use sms I guess it wont be a problem lol

The sidekick 3 need something special to unlock. Unfortunately as far as I know no one can unlock it in NZ. If you can sms and call, it means it already unlocked. By the way, MMS is also working ( some setup needed).

Sweet, do you know how to do the MMS setup, trying going thru the phone but couldnt see anywhere to set it up

Just follow this instruction:
menu-phone messanging-mms
menu-settings-accounts
menu-new account
Account name:VFNZ PXT
MMSC: http://pxt.vodafone.net.nz/pxtsend
Proxy: 172.030.038.003
Port: 8080
APN: live.vodafone.com
User: leave blank
Password: leave blank
Press create
In "set active mms account" select VFNZ PXT
