It'll work, but you won't get 3G unless you're in a 2100 MHz-supported city.

X1a only does 850/2100 3G which means you'll only get 3G in the major cities on Vodafone. It will work well on XT.

If you want a handset for Vodafone you really want a X1 which does 900/2100 3G and will give you nationwide 3G.
