hey, dont you think its a bit wasteful when you change providers that you have to get an entire new sim? cant they just re load the information on it?

They can't just load the info on it, there's a lot of stuff on the SIM specific to the network.

Minimal waste in a sim. More of a waste is that some operators (cough vodafone cough) dont let you reuse a perfectly good but old one and make you spend 30 bucks on another if you wish to be able to give them more money in the future.

in some cases vodafone do I even offered to you direct in one case and you turned it down

That's great for me on here, but for the general populous who walk into a retail store and have to front up $30 getting on with vodafone and have to discard the old one (with all the excess packaging a new sim comes with) it is very wasteful.

2 degrees have done a great job with their sim packaging being pretty much as minimal as possible. My XT one came in a pretty heavy plastic clam shell which I thought was pretty wasteful.
