Bought a basic samsung mobile phone from einfo.co.nz

still under warranty
joystick does detect LEFT anymore, 90% of the time

will it be covered under warranty? or will they slap me with their $30 charge for finding nothing warrantable

Thats the risk you take I guess - make sure that you are informed of the charges prior to work.
I had quite few issues with a Sony joystick as it seemed they are susceptible to dirt and moisture getting in there. I ended up stripping it and cleaning it myself.
Does searching the net for that model reveal any common warranty issues or info on how to strip it down?
