Hi

I want to buy a nokia 3710 phone.

This phone cost $450 thru Vodofone

GSM Band
850/900/1800/1900




or $345 thru

3G Network UMTS 850 / 1900 / 2100

Are both these phone exactly the same

I want to buy the less expensive one and put it on the 2degrees network..

Would this be a good idea..?

Yup, same handset, you will just need to change the APN's in the handset to match 2 Degrees network, ask them about that. Same features may not work, but the APN should sort those out.

End of the day you should be able to get, calls, txt and data usage, some browsing maybe affected.

Yes, The Version from Parallel imported is Ideal for XT tho UMTS 850, Where as the Version from Vodafone is UMTS 900 (there Extended 3g Network)

I'm not sure what freq 2degrees 3g network are going to be running off, but if you have any intention of Going to XT in the future get the 850mhz Version, Or if you could see youself going Vodafone try get a 900mhz version
