I have just bought a Sony Ericcson on Telecom XT and the reception is very bad while others around me on XT have plenty of reception. Has anyone else had experience with this phone and could tell me how their reception was? Thanks

Have you checked to see if there is an update for your phone?

I would ask the store where you got it from to have it sent away to be checked out, I have family and relatives using this model and by all reports it was a good reception XT phone. I do know that there was a software update for them as some of them would report "non sony ericcson battery or charger" when in fact it was and there was a batch that had the keyboards lift but as for reception no issues. But as I said just asked to have it sent away under warranty, if it is less than 14days take back the box and everything & reciept and ask to send away as Early Life Failure

I assume this is a W508a handset you have and that it came from Telecom and not a parallel import store?
