It will work for voice and SMS only. No Internet access or anything else.

My niece sent it to me from America. She just bought a Nexus 1.

When I put the 2Degrees SIM in I got this message

type in oyur PIN to enable network services

All I need the phoen for is Texting and the odd phone call.. How to I unlock the SIM on the SideKick?

Thank you

The phone is locked. You need it unlocked. Even so it will only work for voice and SMS.
