Ideas please for a first mobile for an 11 year old son.

Mainly want it for him to be able to txt us when out with mates

Something very user friendly.

Vodafone network. And pre pay?

It's likely to get trashed so I would just get him the cheapest one you can find.

probably best to let him pick from a few though, you don't want to by him something desperately uncool.

Personal choice really. I agree its likley to get trashed or lost so wouldn't spend big $$$. Personally I always gravitate back to Nokia for reliability.
