would a 3G Band 850/1900  and i think 2100 phone work on telecom xt network?

Yes XT is 3G 850 nationwide with some 3G 2100 in main centers.

However, read the phone spec's carefully and make sure the phone supports 3G 850 not just GSM 850.

XT is not a GSM network

What make/model are you looking at?

yes it a SAMSUNG s5603 i read it and it says  3G Band 850/1900 and i read it up on the samsung website and that says gsm 850/900/1,800/1,900mhz and UMTS 850/ 2,100 (1)

sorry just looked at the xt website and they have the phone so thats a good sign! but at double the price!!
