My old handset used to beep until I acknowledged a txt which was very handy if I didn't have my handset on me

What other brands and mobiles do this ?

Hi - by default the iPhone gives 2 audible warnings after the initial incoming text message. They happen after about 5 min intervals. This can be set to off, if preferred.

Thank you for the reply, yes I heard and iPhone does that. I also know a couple of Android apps that do too but I am interested in which propieitary handset do

Pre-Android Samsung phones do by default, so does pre-Android LG phones. Plus Nokia phones do if you install the Best Reminder app. That's all the ones I know.
