Hey,

Basically I'm getting a new phone but sooo many phones to choose from I have no clue what to get, most likely looking at a 3gs iPhone. I just got rid of my w995.

Mostly use phone for texting and twitter. Dont ever call or go on the net.

Not too keen on touch screen text input (even though iPhone is) and never had qwerty either. Like a long battery life and no small buttons.

Got about $600-$700. Will be used on XT as well.

Any help would be awesome :D

The thing here is "use Twitter" and "Dont ever [...] go on the net."

Twitter uses the Internet. It's based on the Internet. It cannot be apart from the Internet.

Unless you plan to use Twitter via SMS you will need a handset that can run a Twitter client, and you will need mobile data plan or bundle, like it or not.

Are Twitter updates via Telecom XT coming out of bundled SMS or still charged at $0.20 each?

Why spend $600-700 on fancy phone but only txt on it. Would be a total waste. Look in the $100 range it will do what you want.

Well txt'n is the main reason for my phone but I mean I use all the other functions, apps and camera just as much. I just sold my w995a so I dont really want downgrade from that.
