Howdy,

Im trying to piece together how plausible this is...

I want to somehow run from the Micro USB on my phone to a hand held microphone.  I do some interviewing for radio and to have a Mic. I can stick in peoples faces would be a bit better than shoving my whole cellphone up in their moosh on speakerphone.  I cant quite ascertain if there is an adaptor currently available that would do the job.  The Mic. runs on a 3.5mm jack point.
Any ideas??

Chur,
Kempy.

You would need to use the headset port, not the mini USB, I did it for a nokia N95 when I had one since the inbuit mic was so useless when recording video.

Can you please explain how you went about achieving this?  You sound like a person in the know.

Cheers,
Kempy.

I googled for the pinout of the nokia headset port, bought a 4 pole 3.5mm plug and soldered a cable up to a 1/4" mono socket that my wireless mic reciver had for its output, then I plugged it together, when connecting it, sometimes it would say unsupported accessory, but plugging it in half way, then all the way sorted that out.
