I bought my n900 just under a year ago and the usb port on it seems to be broken, won't charge and won't detect on a pc, will work if I borrow my friends battery though so the phone itself is working.

Looking around atm for a new phone but tbh I'd probably just go and buy another n900  as no phones atm offer the same control over the os which is extremely handy for working in IT, (kismet, minicom, tracepath, ping, nmap, tcping etc) the other option would be to wait until the n9 which runs meego, but who knows how far away that is ...

Back to the point though ... I guess I will have to take it into the nokia care center when everything opens up after the new year, has anybody had an n900 repaired through them? Do they do it here or do you need to send it to australia still? Has anybody done that? experiences etc?

As far as I'm aware we don't hold parts for the N900 in New Zealand. I will have to double check though.
