When do you guys think the Optimus 2x will start coming into parallel imported etc? One of the main reasons I'm looking to wait for one of these is because the dual core processor supposedly makes the flash experience a lot better which I use a lot.  Would also like to use the PSX4droid app but no phone so far has the specs capable to handle it but other than that the Galaxy S looks good to me.

What's the usual wait between released to carriers and then parralel imported in nz?

Well I payd with the Optimus 2 at CES last week. It was not carrier specific since LG hadn't announced carriers in the US or elsewhere. I think it was running Android  2.3. Anyway I can't comment on Flash performance pbut playing 1080P video on a HDTV was very smooth and hard to believe it was coming from a phone.

But they were a bit coy about battery life.  I might look at it when it comes out. It certainly is a cool looking phone and hot performer.

Staying in Wellington. Check out my AirBnB in the Wellington CBD.  https://www.airbnb.co.nz/h/wellycbd  PM me and mention GZ to get a 15% discount and no AirBnB charges.

The Galaxy S2 is likely to also be announced in Barcelona (Mobile World Congress) at the beginning of Feb. That could be worth the wait. The Motorola Atrix is also due out in March. You'll get it quicker as a parallel import than via a carrier in my opinion.
