Can multiple CDMA 2000 1x lines be combined as in MLPP for dialup (POTS) to get a higher throuput??? How does the data channel work? What is the maximum no. of codes assigned for data in a sector/base station??
Yes - as long as the carrier supports it. MLPPP needs to be configured at the network end by the carrier. I have done it in a test environment and it works well although it does tend to suck up the bandwidth.
Thanks. So it has to be done on the PDSN. How about the customer end? I heard from someone that in CDMA a common set of codes are shared for data and only one 144k (153k) stream is possible per carrier. If nultiple users transmit, they will have a lower rate, and max throughput from the sector per carrrier is 144k. In that sence, is MLPP useful to boost bandwidth??
