I am sure they were getting your hopes up or just saying it to get rid of you.

The service agent is not allowed to service import handsets if they do they can loose there service agent contract from Nokia

That's interesting. Does that mean that if you buy a parallel imported phone and it dies, then the retailer would have to send it overseas to get repaired? Sounds like this is definitely something that buyers should be very wary of.

Thats usually the case, but a couple have set up their own in house repair centres.

I've had a brief look at the specs, and I honestly don't feel as if it justifies the $1399 price tag. The 4Gb hard drive seems a bit archaic considering that 4Gb flash memory is not that expensive these days, and it's disappointing that the camera doesn't have a flash or auto focus.

ok mate, abt the camera most ppl are doing tat, ill re assure you it takes better pic's than the n90 and the n90 is the imaging phone with auto focous and with the latest firmware there is almost no "noise" in the pictures at all...

there is still no widely avail. 4gb flash card as of yet there is a 2gb one that i know of that is supported by the n80, but im not complaining the price tag does put off alot of people and thats why they go for the n80...its actually amazing because this is my first phone and i always wanted a special one that not a lot of people have so i guess im getting my wish...but that was totally out of topic anyway...

again i reassure you the cam is nothing to worry about the night mode is soo fantastic that no flash is needed, and i think having a hard drive is a novel idea though it should have been bigger (yes the bad boy in me says BIGGER BETTER... but you cant help that can you hehehe) it saves on swapping out memory cards and yea... the sound quality is to die for i chucked out "literally chucked out" my 60GB ipod video because you just dont need it anylonger...

Hope That Clearifies Your Doubts

P.S. anyone else thinking about it??? cummon i know you'd all like it hum...

Thanks for the detailed summary, TaGuru. Naturally, I was playing devil's advocate when I made my comments above and whilst I would personally rather wait for the N73, it sounds like buyers at the upper end of the market will appreciate the N91's multimedia functions.

It's interesting that you've found the sound quality of the N91 to be good, because poor sound quality is one of the few things that I have critised on my 6630. Hopefully this is something that Nokia have resolved across the entire N-series range.
