I have a data cable which hooks up nicely to PC suite, and goes OK. I can backup my pictures, contacts etc. However I can't seem to to find the text messages or such.

My phone is a Nokia 3205, using PC Suite 6.80.22. I notice there was a mention of the CDMA version, I don't think it makes any difference, unless someone can tell me otherwise.

Below are the folders on the phone.

Any help appreciated

I use the CDMA version but i dont think it makes a difference.

You cannot back your text messages up from the phone however.

as far as i am aware, all the text functionality for Nokias and PC Suite, only applies to GSM phones. (Which is where Nokias real interest seems to have been for along time) This includes accessing, backing up, and sending sms via PC

thanks for the help guys, i guessed it wasn't possible to grab the text messages off. No biggie really. Also, ta for adding the image properly, couldn't figure out the code... Undecided

I noticed quite a bit of the functionality for my phone (eg text message etc) doesn't work.  Also you can access the address book to back up, but not directly.

allstarnz: I noticed quite a bit of the functionality for my phone (eg text message etc) doesn't work.  Also you can access the address book to back up, but not directly.

The way the address book work is that it downloads all the contacts where you can then delete, edit or add new ones and the re-sync with the phone
