has anybody updated their Apache with the new Aku 2.2 available from Telecom and then tried to sync to their desktop with Active sync 4.1

All i seem to get is the connection goes to guest mode, i have reinstalled, reset and fully reset the device and have changed the Device id but still the device will not sync and only lets me use it for guest functionality.

Help !!!

I have had no problems.

Try - Activsync > File > Delete Mobile Device

Then sync again.

hi tried that and no luck, i have removed 4.1 and tried 4.2 and same result. deleted all of the partnerships and aeven tried another Apache with the upgrade added at Telegistics. same result it goes automatically to guest.

Can you disable the guest mode?

I am not aware of any way to disable 'guest' mode. If the device does not have a 'partnership' with the PC the option of either 'partnership' or 'guest' should be offered each time you Activesync.

I upgraded mine and it formed a partnership with no problems.

thought you might say that.

I might try another computer and reformat this one if no luck. So you are using 4.2?

I read on google some where you can stop activesync from forcing guest but i can't see a registry string allowing this?

Are you connecting through a USB Hub, or directly? Is the USB port working ok?
