This might be great for Sony UX owners, as the UX only has a cf slot:

Pretty cheap too! $71, but I guess that is on a plan...
Also has drivers for windows mobile available. No idea if it VF Japan use the same frequencies as NZ though???

Yeah I have seen it when I was searching for it to use with "my" UX. LOL... Okay I was planning ahead to see if it will get me closer to get able to use UX and my 1GB sim card...

Not too sure about the Japan's UMTS frequency, but i can assure you, you are not the only one looking at CF UMTS/HSDPA as there are thousands of people with UMPC and UX wanting one for use with UMTS. I for one is too.

The card appears to be made by Sieko, and yes it should work on our system here as vodfone Jp use the same spectrum as everyone else (except the US) for UMTS 3G services.

Mmmmm (For some reason I kept thinking Japan always go against the grain and use different spectrum, look at the PCS and PCN systems).... So if it is using 2100MHz UMTS, then... Is there anyone here from Japan or going to go to Japan for a visit? Would you get one for me? PLEASE? hehehe.
