as per this thread I have also just realised that I have the same problem.

This used to work fine before the ROM update on the Apache, however I must confess that I haven't tried it since (before now that is). It didn't work when I tried it on two separate days last week, and it's not working tonight.

Any ideas??

I had this problem before the upgrade, and not since. In my experience, I think this is network dependent.

Nothing to do with the network. I think it is laptop related. On clean build XP2 HP I have no problems on a cludged up HP with XP1 it hangs.

Also, check that you are running the drivers from the Apache CDROM and not the old drivers for the Harrier.

Hrmm... let's try this again (wrote a post and hit the 'POST REPLY' button but it did not post)

I'm using the drivers off the supplied Apache CD. My laptop is in pretty damn good shape and fully up to date. It started happening after i did two things at about the same time - 1) updated the ROM and 2) upgraded to the 1gb for $49 mobile broadband plan.

Basically, after starting WModem and connecting the apache to the laptop via USB, I run the CDMA dialer and use the correct username and password and hit connect. It then connects to the Apache just fine and goes through to the verifying username and password stage and then just sits there. I have left it for up to 20 minutes at a time on certain occasions. Trying to cancel out of the dialer causes the WModem application to hang requiring a soft reset of the Apache.

Any further ideas??
