At the moment I'm looking for a new mobile. My current one is 3 1/2 years old (Motorola V2288).

The models I prefer at the moment are the SE T630 or the Nokia 6230 but i'm open to any other suggestions.

For the T630 I prefer the look and design and it will probably be cheaper than the 6230.
The 6230 has internal FM Radio (don't need to buy a $100 headset) and a MMC Card.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to which one I should choose (or a different model)?
Please don't just say which one you prefer, please explain why you think it will be better.

Thanks

Peter

Did you have another phone to test the video call, and does it work in NZ?

Hmmm. You guys could have a base station, just for fun and games. I went to TelstraClear's 3G demo last year, and saw the video calls working, and more. Pretty good really. Of course the only two users on that base station were in the same room, so all the bandwidth was ours.

If the Z1010 had an internal radio i'd pick it over the K700 any day...

Need to decide whether I wan't to pay ANOTHER $100 for the accessory (and have the hassle of it). Also can't play it through the phones speaker if your using the accessory.

What do you guys reckon?

Does the FM radio accessory work with any Sony Ericsson phone? Are they readily available at Vodafone dealers? Is it a decent radio with FM stereo, station presets and frequency display? I can remember using the old FM radio handsfree accessory with my old T65 and it was rubbish.

dunno bout radio... shop i asked at had to order it in, probably some info at www.sonyericsson.com.

Anyway this is the main reason i'm leaning towards the K700 at the moment (internal radio which is apparently quite good).

Just out of interest, why can't you get AM aswell as FM... Radio Sport in my region is a good example of what many stations are doing. They changed over to AM... just can't understand it... lower quality and less people have AM radios.

PS... this post hasn't come out quite as i'd like it... english failing me today, might edit it later.

Ok, I've found a link... seems ok but i'd still prefer an internal one:

I didn't realise the K700 had an internal radio, and it's definitely something that I'd find useful.

I'm going to be looking to upgrade my T610 a bit later on in the year, and the K700 looks like it will be the best choice. I only hope that the software on the K700 is more stable than my T610.
