Hi everyone

Well i'm new here so sorry if there's already been a previous discussion on this topic, I;ve tried looking through the forums but could'nt find the answer i'm looking for. My question is about a new cellfone that I got for christmas a HTC Desire HD from Australia. The box that it came in had a sticker on it saying the device is locked to the vodafone network. So is it possible to have it unlocked from this network or is that even allowed? If yes, how can I do this?

Many thanks
