tardtasticx: Also got one of these letters. Two TiVo's in our house, both purchased through telecom on our home account. I assume the free data will only last a week as the letter says somethign along those lines.
They fixed that "issue" of unlimited data with ours ages ago, was rather disappointed but we had a good run.

Spong: I don't think the letter hinted that metering would turn off for one week only.
I maybe wrong, but I interpreted the message that from the week starting 25th March, metering will stop until further notice.
Lazy is such an ugly word, I prefer to call it selective participation

This is my understanding as well. Long may it continue :-)
rugrat: Will being moved from FPID to BBA make any difference to performance?
I just got the letter today, as long as speed remains same I'll be happy.
On a 150 gig plan, don't normally get anywhere near it, so it's like unlimited to me even at 150.
30 gig plan would save about $25 a month, but don't know how long unlimited will last for.
trig42:
I got the letter today also, and that is my understanding of it - until they can fix the metering issue, all these accounts (with a TiVo on them) are unmetered. w00t.
I wonder if it has anything to do with their imminent announcement of UFB plans? I heard they have to change how data is metered with these connections (and with VDSL, which I hope is coming from Telecom soon also).

scuwp: Still waiting...mine was supposed to change on the 25th March. Rang Telecom and after 45 minutes on the phone they can't find anyone who knows anything about this. They kept insisting I was changing to UFB (I wish!!!)
<snip>
Anyone else changed or is everyone delayed?
scuwp:Coincidentally notice a marked reduction in BB speed in the last 2 days. Not sure if related or not.

scuwp: Thanks Johcar, yes the letter was pretty specific from memory that the change was going to be ON the 25th. A small boo boo but you may have other customers asking the same thing. Shame the CSR's don't seem to have been given a heads up that they may be getting calls.
