I had a similar issue trying to record the comedy programme "Spy" - the first week it was on it was in the guide with the title "Spy." (with a full stop) so that was what the season pass was set up looking for. Of course every week after that it was missing the full stop..oh well it wasn't so great anyway..

Each show has a unique ID number, but since NZ guide data is automatically generated without human oversight, a new title means a new ID.

Are you absolutely sure?
I have recorded Emmerdale on a TiVo ever since the TiVo was introduced to NZ.
However, very recently, say the last month, it has turned up as 'Emmerdale Farm' and the TiVo hasn't had a wobble.

PS The program 'Emmerdale' used to be called 'Emmerdale Farm' quite a number of years ago. Why the EPG now has the wrong title I don't know, because ITV in the UK still call it 'Emmerdale'

Net: Grandstream 1 x GWN7062 Router, 1 x GWN7665 Access Point
Storage: Synology DS216play NAS, 2 x 6TB
Media: 3 x Amazon FireTV. Echo, Dot, Spot
TV: 2 x Samsung H6400 55" LED TV, Panasonic TH-P50G10Z 50" Plasma TV

No I'm not absolutely sure, esp considering your experience. I am just basing my opinion on how the guide data for Series 1 TiVo works. Perhaps there is some human oversight at TVNZ or Hybrid, or the show ID thing works differently on the Series3/HD TiVo.
