Did this get resolved? What was the outcome? I may have similar issues...

Hi Neil. No, I'm afraid that I didn't get this problem sorted. I am sorry to hear that you are having similar problems, but thank you for commenting on my post, it reminded me that I should reply to the others about my codecs. If you do sort something out, please let me know....

@stu and @gregmcc

The recent post reminded me that I didn't provide follow-up, given your previous help. I did try downloading a K-lite codec standard pack. However, this caused other problems with playing my TiVo recordings, in that MPC-HC did try and play the recordings, but the picture was just a jumble of pixels and it was impossible to make out shapes etc. Even with the K-lite codec pack installed, the basic WMP would not play, still had the same error code, although maybe I was supposed to change something. In the end, I uninstalled the K-lite pack as I didn't really know what I was doing with it...if you have any other suggestions, I do very much appreciate your help...

Nothing else I can think of, off the top of my head. Could be any number of things causing it.

People often mistake me for an adult because of my age.

Keep calm, and carry on posting.
