This is not logic... How come Sky offers Prime EPG on Freeview then?

Prime would have moved to Freeview sooner or later. From what I have read they got a very good deal earlier in the year, also the minister got involved. So they jumped while the going was good and are now owed a favour. While there are a number of Freeview approved recorders I think that Tivo is the one that worries Sky. It has the brand recognition and money behind it to challange MySky. Earlier this year there were some stats out that said that the free to air channels were the most recorded ones on MySky.

While what I said earlier may not seem logical what other reason is there? As you say they already have the Prime EPG on Freeview, so why refuse to give this data to Tivo?

Possibly for the same reason that the TVNZ EPGs are available on Sky, but TVNZ refuses to allow them to include it in their website's interactive TV Guide, which is required for remote record to function. So Sky subscribers can not remote record TV1 or TV2.

I wish they'd all hurry up and get over their petty squabbling and do right by the customers for once.
