wreck90: This problem is fixed for my parents - why is it still happening for new Tivo subscribers?

No idea, it happened to me to too.  When I bought my Tivo in January 2011 from Telecom my metering stopped then a few months later I get the "freeride is over letter".

I thought that perhaps I bought it during the changeover period from the "old way" to the "new way" of handling Tivo usage.

minigopher17: Nice one Telecom, after finally receiving snail mail because of the Chch earthquake, I get told my "Freevo" is over and now I have a data cap :(

I know it's not Telecom's fault, but it just adds to the list of things to deal with at the moment.

Oh, to have the luxury of having a Broadband limit as a worry! Worry about the things you can change and influence. If you can't, move onto the things you can.
