I didn't even bother setting Casper up.? I skipped that step.? I've got an Apple TV anyhow.
TBH looking at the content that is on Casper, it might as well not be there.? I think they should do away with that, and focus on selling it as an HD PVR.? That removes the whole discussion about Telecom and is probably the reason for the low sales at launch.
At $299 it is way cheaper than all the other PVR's on the market, and the UI is brilliant.
Casper should have been where TVNZ put all their on demand stuff. But they decided to go join their competion and setup a whole new platform, with what looks to be an inferior device. At least the tivo can record. Casper could always be updated in teh future, but I think their problem is getting the content, and getting enough customers to buy the, Lowering the rental price would help, I can't understand why they are so expensive, see the overheads are minimal.
