I rang yesterday and was told that there was no deal at all on Tivos, in fact they had none even for sale and that telecom were actually going out of them and to try Noel Leeming for the best deal. Should I try again?!

Signed up today for Telecom as moving to a new rental house. Currently paying $107 a month for Orcon with no contract naked DSL with 50gb cap, but used the connect 10 deal to get Total Home Broadband 60gb cap(soon to be 120Gb), plus free tivo and $10 discount so $95 per month. RESULT!

Apparantly it is still available but only for people taking out NEW broadband connections with Telecom. The fact that we've been with telecom since year dot means didly squat :-(

Not a trick question. The whole promotion is for "new customers only" but if you suggest that you'd seriously consider moving to another ISP then they will be happy to re-sign you for 12 months and send out a free Tivo. If it didn't work the first time try again. :)

+1

I've told a few friends / family members about this deal and they were already Telecom customers.
They just said that they were thinking of moving to TelstraClear for their $75 deal and then they got offered the free Tivo. :)
You could also tell the CSR to look at this thread on Geekzone.

As of today Bond and Bond , Noel Leemings have no listing for Tivo, they did last week but it's now gone.

Maybe they have cleared the stock? Wonder if they will be bringing in the new one with the bigger.

I am still waiting for my replacement new tivo to be delivered by telecom as part of this promotion and it is been a week. Apparently there is a delay with them communicating with tivo to get a code to allow it to be processed. They have emailed them, but no reply. Apparently from what the telecom lady told me, they have no way of phoning them, only email, and there hasn't been a reply since it was sent on sunday. A bit of a concern for future support.

They have disappeared before, and then returned.  They now have the Bond & Bond and Noel Leeming logos on the TiVo website.

I sent an email to TiVo support yesterday, and had a reply today, so no issues there.

I think Telecom get the products shipped out by a third party, who also look after Telecoms modems and mobiles (Brightpoint?).  The delay will likely be there.

My Dad's free tivo arrived yesterday.  His broadband was switched on the 17th, so I think there is a bit of a go slow at the distributor.

Bond and Bond have them in store, not on their website. Popped in on the off chance and there are a dozen or so lined up under the TVs (North Shortem Auckland). Noel Leeming next door had none.

Mine arrived yesterday.  Bit of luck really as I was just about to pull out of the car park from leaving our house when the courier turned up with the Tivo!  Telecom said they were going to send it to the new address for me but hey ho, it arrived :)

Broadband also enabled ready for when we arrived and faster than my previous place (17mb now against 12mb) whoop!: )
