Once I activated my Tivo online I got the MAK, used this to link to my PC running Tivo Desktop, I could see my recordings etc.

Now in the last few days (could have been longer) my PC can't see my Tivo saying Access Denied, when I look on the Tivo itself the MAK menu is missing.

After logging into my account on mytivo.co.nz I can manage my Tivo, set remote scheduling etc but not seeing the MAK on there either.

Any reason why it might have disappeared? How do I get it back?

PS I have logged a call with Tivo Support (Telecom Broadband Support) who had no idea and they have escalated to Level 3 support in Australia.

You have to have the Home Network Pack to get a MAK.

There is/was a bug related to the latest firmware update from TiVo that gave all TiVos the MAK, it has been fixed and the MAKs revoked.

Did you pay for a home networking package? If not then you may only have temporary access to the MAK, when it is first registered. It's only $90 AUS, so worth getting if you have multiple tivos, and want to transfer content. I have 3, which means 1GB of storage shared between the 3 devices.
