As the title says.

I have a TiVO and enjoyed watching movies I have recorded via TiVO on my PC, while my wife watches the TV.

Now all the movies 'stutter' making them almost impossible to watch in the last couple of weeks.  Also, I can no longer watch them full screen as the screen just goes blank (and this had been happening for about a year).

Any ideas.

I would start with installing the TiVo app that has the playback codec. Have you installed say a new antivirus program that maybe trying to access the recording during playback??
