Hi

Can anyone on Telecom's non unlimited VDSL broadband plan and with a TiVo, confirm whether the traffice is unmetered?

I know ADSL was for a while but that may have changed

I remember getting a letter a long time ago saying it was back to normal I think? But would be keen to know.

I'm on the 150GB Spark (or Telecom) VDSL plan with TIVO and I'm still unmetered. I could probably move to a lower plan but would then have to pay for my static IP.

Tivo upgrades to operate with the new OzTivo EPG, support and service. Over 400 performed here so far. See: www.hillcrest.net.nz

I'm on the 150GB VDSL also, but trying to check our usage through this portal: https://www.telecom.co.nz/jetstreamum/xtraSum and get a 404 error after I log in. We don't use the MySpark(?) portal for landline as parents prefer a paper bill for their own reasons.

Prior to changeover to Spark when we could access it, I do recall not showing any usage for like a week I think but put it down to the change in name.

I use the fantastic little "traffic useage checker" utility by Andrew Connell running full time in my tray. As long as it keeps showing 0% I'm happy. A couple of months back, Telecom started metering but it turned out they shouldn't have been. They soon stopped and it was covered in a thread here.

Download it from www.tuc.co.nz

That was probably shut down along with all other Jetstream infrastructure near the end of last month. Broadband is now 100% over the new system.

This I would love to know, back in April I contacted telecom asking about moving house and to arrange for reconnection at new place. While on the phone to telecom I asked about tivo still being unmetered. She said yes then suggested I move to a lower plan to save money as I was unmetered. First week of new connection and we get the 80% email. I ring telecom and then been told the UNmetered had ended. There was the start of my month long battle with telecom over various balls ups with the transfer of connection
