I am a retard. On a good day my memory can span as far back as three minutes but I need to be constantly reminded of things for them to settle in my memory. I also lack imagination and I get a wee tingle of thrill when people give me a hint of a some upcoming excitement to look forward to. So imagine my joy when I found out the Block was back on.

I got my carer to set up the Season Pass and I think it is recording OK  and as a special treat I get the replays during the day as well. Trouble is,  it doesn't record the Wednesday evening show. No issues with disk space and no conflicting programmes on other channels. Any ideas why? I'm sure the same thing happened last Wednesday but cant quite recall. I am worried that next Wednesday might not record and I'll once again miss some vital part to this gripping show

On a more pressing note I've been inspired to install a shaving point in the shower to save me some time on the mornings. So I have plans for the weekend. This Block seems to have a pretty good DIY store who could supply me with stuff bit I'm blowed if I can remember which one.  ITM comes to mind but there is something fishy about that recollection. Perhaps I need  fresh cup of tea. Could someone remind me please.

The only reason I can think of that would cause it not to record would be if the EPG for some reason had the Wednesday episode set as a repeat and you have the season pass set to record first-run only.

As for the shaver point in the shower room, perhaps start a thread on the Home Workshop forum?

If you look at the "To Do" list it will tell you if that episode is scheduled to be recorded.
Also, if you go into the Season Pass manager, you can change the priority order of shows, move it to the top.
If it isn't in the list to be recorded, I would find Wednesday's entry in the on EPG and select it and go through the season pass process against that episode like it was a different show, just in case it is not linked to the other days episodes for some reason.

OP said there were no conflicting programs so doesn't look like a priority issue. I had a look at the listing and checked Upcoming Episodes, and it does show Wednesdays in the list so they appear to be linked. With the information provided I can only find one reason, but who knows? Just a TiVo gremlin causing havoc?

Me thinks there's a wee bit of a leg pullin 'ere.

However, Bunnings is the offal sponsor.

I know this because ? ..... better half has control of the remote at this time of the evening ....

OP may be thinking ITM Fishing show laughing

Strangely worded post.
Shaving point in the shower would be cool. Go to a plumbing store, Bunnings probably has it. Why recording doesnt work? Check to be sure the EPG is live at the time and see if you can watch it and catch it out next time if it does it again.

After last weeks missing episode I checked the to do list and the Wednesday show was there, as well as the other ones on the TV3+1 as well as the repeats on the next day. Despite having "first run Only" as the setting. (really - who could watch a repeat!!) I haven't seen the Priority Order option so I'll give that a go. I presume the multiple listings is due to a lack of control in the EPG data - the TV cynic in me thinks this is a deliberate play by TV3 to maximise sponsors exposure. I'll check my settings and see what happens next week.

(I'm actually more interested in seeing how the Season Pass manager works :))

(off topic) I thinks its cool too!. If it works I'm going to put a point above the bath so we can use a hair dryer to save time with hair care during the bathing process.

Shock!! Horror!!

Or are you thinking of a little hook on which to hang your Gillette Venus disposables?

If Bunnings don't have the part you want, you could just run an extension lead from another room. Put a power board on the end of it and you could have not only the shaver but also leccy toofbrush, hair drier and a mantle radio in there.

Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.

An excellent idea - except clearly safety isn't at the forefront of your mind. I'd be concerned about the trip hazard of a cable lying across the floor.

Remember electrocution danger as well of leads running through your bathroom!

There are specified areas near water fixtures such as baths, basins, showers where you cannot have an outlet, or are restricted as to the type of outlet. Start a thread in Home Workshop and someone like Greg will no doubt be able to let you know the details.

Thank you. But let's not forget The Block is just chock full oh handy DIY tips.for example the tivo (back on topic) did record the episode where the safety man said they couldn't go on the roof after 6.00pm - so no adjusting the aerial in the evening. I haven't heard the safety man say anything about installing a point in the shower so I reckon I am good to go

UPDATE

I think it is definitely a gremlin. I triple checked the show would record last night and joy it did!

Trouble is it recorded last weeks show. I've checked the date and it definitely recorded last night.

But it was definitely last weeks show. It was raining, they went to Bunning's, they had to deal with leaking tarps, there was still no DIY - exactly like last week.

I think I will do the old "pull power plug and reboot the Tivo" trick to see if that helps.
