I had a look on the Tivo and Spark websites but couldn't find it. Anyone have any idea where I can get a HNP. I thought I might give it a try but am not too excited - seems a bit redundant now. But with 2 tivos could be something to fiddle with on a wet day.

Firstly they were pretty expensive for what they do, and I don't think you can get them anymore.

Unfortunately, the HNP hasn't been available here for some time.

People often mistake me for an adult because of my age.

Keep calm, and carry on posting.

HNP only enable transfer between tivos and your PC, transfer movies/picture to from your PC. for transfer between tivo's simply have them both on the same subnet of your network and easily transfer between tivo's

Hi gregmmc

Can you elaborate on how to connect two or more TiVos via the same subnet ? If that works does each TiVo show up in the menu of the other(s) ? Thanks.

I'm not 100% certain, as I do have the HNP in operation on my 3x Tivos, but I'm pretty sure I couldn't transfer programs between them until I got the HNP.

Tivo upgrades to operate with the new OzTivo EPG, support and service. Over 400 performed here so far. See: www.hillcrest.net.nz

Thanks. I also have HNP & three TiVos & it works well but one of my machines likes to hide from the others.. I.E as in doesn't reliably appear on the playlist of the other two. All three are always visible to the TiVo desktop software. A bit strange & very frustrating.

check your network setting, if the IP address is set to get automatically from DHCP then both tivo's should be on the same subnet IE 192.168.1.xxx will be different for each device.

Anyway if you press the tivo button and go to now playing list and scroll down to the bottom you may (or may not) see the other Tivo listed there, I'm assuming both are activated on the same mytivo account.

It was my understanding the the HNP allowed access between your PC and tivos

I used to have reliability problems as well along the same track, the best thing I done was to ditch the wireless dongles that came with the tivo and go fully Ethernet wired. I have a couple of other minor problems, if the router is re-started for whatever reason I need to restart the tivo desktop software so it can figure out the new IP address, the other annoying problem is some files on the PC simply will not transfer to the Tivo's

Yes checked all that. The HNP does provide the access between all the individual machines & to the PC. All three TiVos show on my Wifi network & share the same channel & IP address (except for last digits). All show up in the TiVo server of TiVo desktop & I can download to PC from any of the three & transfer or transfer directly from one Tivo to another without the PC turned on. But just one machine doesn't reliably display in playlist of other two and until it does you can't transfer from that machine.
