So, not ready to give up on my Tivo yet, but the remote has been playing up.

The Down button and the Tivo button both require double tap to work. The red LED on the remote lights up even on a single tap, but the yellow receiver LED doesn't, and the Tivo doesn't respond. The response only happens when I double tap these buttons.

Strangely enough, all other keys work just fine. Anyone else has had this problem?

I had something similar happen with mine years ago, and in my case a phone call to TiVo Support resulted in a replacement remote. From memory a few others here have had a similar issue. Not too sure how you'll get on.

If you have no luck sourcing a replacement remote, you could use an app. "RCX for TiVo" works well for Android.

Bummer. Maybe I can get one on Trademe. I've been using RCX for TiVo for a while now. The missus doesn't like it though, so I'm trying to get the remote to work again. Oh well.
