ive been going through various TIVO screens (settings / information etc) to try & find some information.

and now for the last 15 to 20 minutes, it just says "Please wait." & no buttons do anything - its just waiting waiting... - ive pressed the reset button on thetop of the controller)

Without turning it off (I have a disability & cant go rummaging round the back), is there anything i can do - or just wait, & hope something happens...

friend popped over by chance - Tivo now reset - but it was over 45 minutes of "please wait" - nothing happened

If it's going to a new owner, you should also remove it from your MyTivo account so that the new owner can activate it on their account.

Once they turn off the service soon, you won't be able to . I recall there was a thread on here recently about someone having a problem, so not sure if the activation server is working properly or not.
