We are making up our minds re switching home phone and landline to Telecom from Vodafone in order to get the online TIVO services (and repayment deal on TIVO media device).

Does anyone know if the CASPA On Demand movies will be regularly renewed and if so how often as current content is a bit limited for our tastes?

Addition to above post

We have checked content on http://www.mytivo.co.nz/whatistivo/moviestvmusic/movies/mymovies/ - for those of you with Tivo is this the actual full list of movies on CASPA?

Yes - those CASPA listings on the website look to be current. I certainly recognise most of it from my own TiVo box.

Someone else here may be able to answer the question about CASPA update frequency - I would hope it's a couple of times a month at least to prevent content becoming stale.

I spoke to someone at TiVo today and they advised me the Caspa service is currently being setup with a dedicated server within Telecom and they said the Movies and listings will be updated Weekly when required. But they also advised they will be a little behind with certain releases when they come out due to some legal rubbish Michael Jackson This Is It was mentioned as rental store first Caspa apparently dosnt fall into the same Category as blockbuster, civic etc.

Are the current titles coming off the back of the Aussie service? The TV offerings certainly seem to be.
Will they eventually offer the standard On-Demand titles that the various channels provide through their websites or just the sort of tat they currently have, Australias worst drivers etc.

I know in theory, with TiVo there should be no requirement for a catch up service as it should have already recorded it for you but there will be the odd conflict where you have to miss something and being able to download it from a server would be nice.
