I wonder when we will see some releases other than those distributed/owned by Sony.

More partnerships would really open the on-demand floodgates and truly give the bricks-and-mortar rental stores a run for their money.

Especially when I can hire any New Release on DVD for $4.95, without being restricted as to which distributor I can choose from. No attraction at all really to use the service at this time unless you're crook in bed or otherwise unable to drive down the road or get movies from the mail box (Fatso etc). I'm sure there are still people who will find the service of benefit to them, but as you say the range available must improve!

Keep calm, and carry on posting.

And I can get new release rentals for 6.99 on iTunes and connect my laptop to television and watch.

Mind you, downloading and watching Shakira's 'She Wolf' music video (CASPA) on my 60" TV is reason enough to buy a TiVo!!

I would be surprised if Sony wasn't the exclusive content partner, at least for the launch. bandit.fm isn't even available yet so I think it will be a while.
