Mrs Psychrn here - Chris' Network Technician.

We have almost got our Tivo setup how we like it.

Serving Music from Galleon - we like the colourful background, screenshows of album art and Music Organiser plus it uses Itunes library and playlists.  Love the Jukebox app which allows you to make a selection of music to play as a group (more than a playlist).

Some other good apps in Galleon are podcasting and videocasting - give lists of directories and you can subscribe/download/view direct from your Tivo.

Also experimenting with PyTivo to serve Itunes videocasts and podcasts direct from PC to 'Now Playing' list on Tivo.

Still have not got YouTube plugin working properly in PyTivo - we can see a list of Top 10 Most Popular videos but none will play as ywt.

Working to set up a Flickr app that I found onliine which should allow authentication to our web-based Flickr collections direct from  the Tivo DVR.

PyTivo is great. Format conversion on the fly and no trouble so far viewing as soon as you start the the transfer to TiVo. At the very least this has solved my problem of slow transfers.

Now to work on the YouTube plugin

I have discovered Harmonium Music Player which I prefer over the Galleon apps. Harmonium allows you to make playlists on the Tivo itself and has a great interface and preferences section

Thanks for that. Have installed Harmonium this afternoon. So far so good.

Hi there, have you got the Youtube plugin working? I would love to know.... I just realised that you don't need a MAK key for this, only for transfering shows to and from the tivo.

So do you need the home netwokring package for galleon to work? Or pyTivo to work? Or do some elements work ok and other not?
I'm basically wanting to trnasfer videos over to the Tivo preferably without the home network pack, but some of these other apps sound cool too.
