We have 2 season passes for Tuesday 7:30pm, one for Coro (TV1) and one for Hells Kitchen (TV2) and both have been recorded faithfully for quite some time now. We rarely watch either when they are being recorded.

Last night we watched Coro (and it was recorded) and then found that Hells Kitchen was not recorded.

There is no trace of Hells Kitchen in the Recording History of the To Do List, but the To Do List does think that it is going to be recorded next week.

I have had the same happen to me with different shows. I think it is to do with the epg data not being setup correctly by Tivo. I'm thinking about setting up wishlists instead of season passes.

You could log a fault with Tivo and see what they say.

I have mentioned a similar problem in another thread.
I get the feeling that if I have something on season pass and I then select it in the guide and set it to record as well, rather than this making doubly sure it records, it actually cancels that recording.

I haven't tested that theory fully but it seems to be the common factor in cases where season passed progs have failed to record.

We have also had issues with Corro/Hells kitchen not both recording. Although last night theyw ere both recorded as planned.

Likely the seasons pass link (a number or similar) was different.. or maybe missing (think of it like a 'series link number' on MySky HDI.

Have you checked to see if it's available on TVNZ On Demand?

Sounds to me like the Tivo used one tuner to record Coro and the other was used to show Coro live so there were no free tuners to record Hells Kitchen.

Opinions are my own and not the views of my employer.

That's got to be a pretty major flaw, if it is not recording something because it is displaying something you are recording on the other tuner.

You should get a dialogue saying that this tuner needs to record xxx now, but the current programme is being recorded on the other tuner if you wish to continue watching it. Either that or it should auto flip to the same point in the programme on the other tuner [if forexample you have pause on tuner 2 so that it is a bit behind where tuner 1 is at on the same programme]

I have reported the problem to Tivo.
To their credit they responded quickly.
Their only advice was to check the Recording History, the last EPG Update and see what happens next week.

Also, they asked if it was a repeat. That bit I don't know, but I would say un-highly likely as it meant that TVNZ had accidently done it.
So, I will wait for next weeks episode.

In this case I doubt it, both the channels being recorded (1 and 2) are from the TVNZ MUX, so you can record them both with out needing to use the second tuner.

I think you only start to run out of tuners when you are recording off two seperate MUXs (eg TVNZ + Media works) and then try to watch something on the 3rd like parliament TV.

I don't think you can record 2 shows on one tuner & HDD. If that was the case you could conceivably record 3 shows at once which it can't do as far as I know.

Am I wrong on that?

Freeview cert PVR's if you record two progs from the same mux,
the other tuner is free to watch anything you like( ie TV works or Kordia)

I have the same problem with my MySky box missing Series Linked programs, so I don't think it's a fault in the Tivo itself. I'd say it is an issue with the EPG data, as if you look at the guide before the recording is meant to happen, it often shows as if it wasn't scheduled to record it at all.
